The Problem I Couldn't Unsee
I spent 8 years as a data and business intelligence leader at FoodCo Nigeria, one of the country's largest retail and FMCG companies. I built their entire BI architecture — dashboards, data pipelines, predictive analytics, inventory systems.
But here's what I saw every day: while large companies could afford SAP, Dynamics, and dedicated IT teams, the small businesses around them — the restaurants, retail shops, and hotels that make up the backbone of Nigeria's economy — were running on chaos.
In 2023, a friend asked me to build a solution for her perfume business. While building it, I realized this wasn't just her problem — it was everyone's problem. Two more business owners approached me unprompted, asking to use my solution before I'd done any marketing.
That's when I knew: this wasn't a side project. This was a company.
The Solution I Wish Existed
SellERP is the system I wished every business had during my 8 years in retail. It's not another tool bolted onto the stack — it's the entire stack, unified into one platform that actually works in the reality of African infrastructure.
Offline-first POS. Integrated inventory. HR and payroll. Delivery management. Analytics. All in one system, running on your own dedicated server, with enterprise-grade controls built in from day one.
Because small businesses shouldn't need a Silicon Valley budget to run professional operations.
